Turns out, baking is harder than eating
Had an absolute blast learning the art of baking with ft. Rashmi. What started as 'let's learn how to bake a cake' quickly turned into flour everywhere, cream in places it probably shouldn't be, and a lot more creativity than I expected. We got our hands busy making cakes, brownies, and cupcakes — and somehow managed to make them look like actual food.
The best part was learning the little details that make baking more than just mixing ingredients and hoping for the best. From getting the texture right to experimenting with different flavours and, of course, trying out those artistic cream designs, every cake became a small experiment. Some turned out beautiful, some turned out... characterful. 😂
The cream work was probably my favourite part. Watching a plain cake slowly turn into something colourful and creative was oddly satisfying — even if getting the perfect swirl required significantly more patience than expected. There was a lot of learning, plenty of laughter, and naturally, quite a bit of tasting for 'quality control.'
By the end, I realised baking isn't just about following a recipe. It's about patience, creativity, getting your hands messy, and enjoying the process with good company. Came in expecting to learn how to make cakes and left with cakes, brownies, cupcakes, a few new skills, and a very strong argument for why every baking session should end with eating everything we made.
