The Leibniz Cookie Quest
A quest for cookies
Every now and then, life gives you an important mission. Mine was finding Leibniz cookies at half price. What started as a simple offer quickly turned into a small weekend adventure — because apparently, getting cookies on sale requires strategy, determination, and a willingness to travel between supermarkets.
The quest began at Netto. No luck. So naturally, the only reasonable next step was Rewe. Off I went, hoping the legendary half-price cookies were still waiting for me. There was something oddly satisfying about walking through the aisles, checking shelves, comparing prices, and wondering why I was treating a packet of biscuits like a rare treasure.
Eventually, the mission was successful. Cookies secured. Money saved. Quest completed. Was it completely necessary to travel from Netto to Rewe for biscuits? Probably not. Was it interesting, slightly ridiculous, and surprisingly rewarding? Absolutely.
Sometimes the best little adventures aren't the ones you plan. Sometimes they're just a half-price cookie offer, two supermarkets, and the stubborn belief that saving a few euros is worth the journey. And honestly, those cookies tasted even better after the quest.
